Where we are

A charming village situated 680 meters above sea level, close to a rocky massif, “la preta", which stands between the Trigno river and the Vella stream, dominating the whole valley of the Trigno and enjoying the view of the mountains that surround.

The traveler who moves along the Trignina highway, both in the direction of Vasto and towards Isernia, notices that he stands amidst the rich vegetation, catching, with a careful eye, the bell tower of San Silvestro placed on a rock peak, the homonymous church, set between it and the castle that rises majestically on its top. The landscape that presents itself is so picturesque that many call it “the fairyland", while Mommsen, in ancient times, called it “the pearl of Molise".

Arriving from the A14 Bologna-Bari highway :exit Vasto sud – Montenero di Bisaccia, take the Fondovalle Trignina to Isernia, exit Bagnoli del Trigno.

Arriving from Naples Caianello exit on the A1 highway: continue to Venafro – Isernia. Continue on Trignina to Vasto – San Salvo, exit Bagnoli del Trigno.

Arriving from Rome exit San Vittore on the A1 highway: continue to Venafro – Isernia. Continue on Trignina to Vasto – San Salvo, exit Bagnoli del Trigno.
